Why We Became Mercury Automated Retail Solutions

We are now Mercury Automated Retail Solutions. On October 14, 2026, Swyft officially became Mercury, a managed automated retail company connecting consumer demand, premium physical locations and leading brands. The new name marks a broader transformation for us, built on modernized technology, expanded operating capabilities and new leadership under our CEO, Ken Sullivan.
For our location partners, Mercury means retail that extends into the spaces and moments where people already are. For the brands we work with, it means a managed route into high-value physical environments. And for travelers, guests, patients and students, it means the right products within reach, right when they need them.
"The opportunity has become much bigger than the technology." Ken Sullivan, CEO, Mercury
Why We Became Mercury
As Swyft, we proved the model. Our automated stores became a familiar part of airport terminals, hotel lobbies and other high-demand environments, and they showed what retail can do when products meet people where demand gathers.
As our footprint grew, so did the work behind it. Running retail at scale takes far more than well-engineered hardware. It takes merchandising, inventory planning, replenishment, payments, analytics and field operations working together as one system. We had grown into that system, and our name needed to grow with us.
Mercury carries an old association with commerce, movement and travel, which is exactly where our work lives. It also reflects a larger ambition: connecting demand, locations and brands at a scale traditional retail formats were never designed to reach.

How Mercury Automated Retail Solutions Works
We operate a managed retail model, which means we bring every layer of retail operations together for our partners:
- Technology that powers payments, inventory visibility and sales reporting
- Merchandising shaped around the real needs of each environment
- Inventory management and replenishment that keep assortments relevant and stocked
- Analytics and optimization that help every location improve over time
- Field operations that keep everything running on the ground
Alongside the new name, we modernized the technology and operating infrastructure behind every Mercury location. Our guiding idea is practical: technology should serve the operation, helping partners reach more demand across more locations and more dayparts.
For location partners, that means retail access that works alongside the amenities they already offer, without adding another staffed operation. For brands, it means a dependable route into premium physical environments.
Where We Operate
We already operate across an established network of airport locations, and we continue to grow across hospitality, healthcare and higher education.
Airports
Passenger demand flows across the entire airport journey, often beyond the footprint or hours of traditional concessions. We extend retail access along that journey and make compact spaces productive, complementing the shops and restaurants travelers already enjoy.
Hospitality
Guest needs follow the rhythm of a stay, including late evenings and early mornings. Our hospitality locations carry the essentials that come up throughout a visit, from cough and cold relief and personal care to travel chargers, adapters and toys. Through our Better+ program, properties offer this added layer of guest service at zero cost, fully managed by our team.
Healthcare
Hospitals and care facilities serve staff, patients and visitors around the clock. We bring over-the-counter and wellness essentials closer to the people who need them across every shift.
Higher Education
Campus life runs on its own schedule. We give students and staff convenient access to everyday essentials in the places where campus life actually happens.

Connecting Demand, Locations and Brands
Our strategy connects three parts of the modern retail ecosystem:
- Consumer demand. We identify when and where a real need exists.
- Premium locations. We extend retail access across airports, hotels, healthcare facilities and campuses.
- Leading brands. We bring relevant products closer to consumers at the moments where need and purchase intent meet.
We manage everything that connects the three, from identifying opportunities and designing the retail experience through deployment, fulfillment, measurement and optimization.
New Leadership for Our Next Chapter
We enter this chapter under CEO Ken Sullivan, whose background spans large-scale operations, distribution and supply-chain leadership. His appointment reflects our evolution from a technology-led automated retail business into an operating platform built to manage retail at scale.
What Stays the Same
Everything we built as Swyft comes with us: our operating experience, our partner relationships and our market knowledge. If you've worked with Swyft, you can expect the same commitment to your locations, now backed by expanded capabilities and a modernized platform. The name on the machine is new. The partnership behind it continues.
